Since the format of a date input is defined by the user's language in the browser you need to define the input as text and make a few adjustments to have the date format you want.

To make life easier, we made it for you. Simply place this widget instead of and input+datepicker, and you'll b good to go.

The behavior and inputs are the same as in the original DatePicker, so you'll be good to go!
